Who will you check in with?

“I felt alone and forgotten throughout and after the 2022 floods. There was a lack of communication as the floodwaters impacted the community housing high-rise where I live. The little information I received was delivered in a visual way, and as a Totally Blind person I was unable to read it. The building lift and intercom connecting my apartment to the 24-hour concierge service both stopped operating, and the emergency entrance point was temporarily moved. Nobody thought to show me where that new emergency entrance point was.”
