We assigned over 400 volunteers

“In 2011, Kurilpa Futures set up a marquee on the edge of the floodwaters at the southern end of Montague Road to see what assistance the residents required. West End Community House staff joined us. For three days, by our calculation of sausages given out, we assigned over 400 volunteers to assist people in need in those streets. The Mud Army came to us and we put their assistance together with resident’s needs. It got the whole thing working better than it would have.”
