They looked like refugees

“I walked around West End and saw people carrying their belongings on their head, under their arms, whole families, children, parents, grandparents... saw two men carrying a TV down Scott Street. They looked like refugees dislocated from their country. I guess people carried what they valued most. Made me ask what I valued. I should put a ceiling on my desires and have less stuff. Later, I saw piles of audio visual gear around three metres high outside SAE in Jane Street. Elsewhere there were piles of office furniture, TVs, electronic goods everywhere.”
