Local coordination and information sharing

“It wasn’t easy to know what to do and who was coordinating the response. I was aware via social media that Micah Projects had set up a centre at AHEPA Hall, so my partner and I headed there to see how we could help. It was mainly for people needing accommodation, and Micah’s Street to Home service was in full swing. Kurilpa Futures rostered a team at Montague Markets to liaise with residents about their needs and those offering resources. This provided an on-the-ground coordination point and enabled information sharing with West End Community Association, Micah and local elected reps.”
