How to help people with disability evacuate

“I was a part of a group that was invited to speak to emergency management services, volunteers and organisations who were learning how to safely evacuate a person in a wheelchair from a flooded area, how to communicate with individuals and build rapport. Emergency services might not be able to respond immediately, so volunteers and neighbours living in Kurilpa should also have that information to understand how to help with evacuations.”
