How do we support elderly people?

A Brisbane aged care development was approved after the 2011 flood, despite known flood risk. In 2022, The Village Yeronga and the Regis Aged Care Home flooded, losing power and access. Strains on emergency services and military delayed the evacuation of hundreds of elderly residents. Family of residents say they were never told about the flood risk.
