What’s your most prevalent flood memory?
“I woke up and heard a roar outside our building (we live on the sixth floor). Looking over our balcony, water was cascading with great force through the metal gate at street level into our underground car park. That was the roar I’d heard. Pretty soon, the lower-level car park was inundated. The final water level was about a metre over the upper-level car park. I’ll remember that roar and the sight of that cascade.”
