Resilient transport for everyone

“My late husband used to sit fishing upon our jetty with his transistor radio. He cultivated a garden. He was very happy there, even as he became unwell. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Here we have the ferry, the buses… we have the whole of Brisbane available to us. Retirement homes are usually miles away from public transport, and you sort of become caught. Here, we can travel all over Brisbane. I was one of the first people back out on the ferry after the 2022 floods.”
