Biodiversity and habitat loss

Brisbane lies within a global biodiversity hotpot, making it the most biodiverse capital city in Australia. But with the disruption of Aboriginal custodianship came a loss of biodiversity. Now, due to habitat destruction, we have 30 threatened species. Brisbane recently ranked in the top 5 urban areas experiencing the most significant habitat loss.
