How do you stay connected to community?

“The 2011 flood felt really different. There was a lot more support and the feeling of hope. Maybe that’s because more people saw it as an opportunity to help and connect. I know people that came together to form a band and went on to tour after the 2011 floods, unknowing to them how long lasting that would be! I definitely felt there was a stronger community vibe compared to the 2022 floods. Possibly the result of the changing demographics and the push from a small, connected community to a highly populated neighbourhood is one obvious cause.”
