Flash flood risk with each degree of warming
The frequency and intensity of rainfall, including short duration rain, has increased. As a general rule, rainfall will increase 7% with each degree of climate warming. In Australia, short duration rain that leads to flash flooding is showing a larger than 7% increase. This will make our city, urban areas and small catchments more at risk to flash flooding.
