Firefoxes Australia

Firefoxes Australia formed after the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria. Based in the Kinglake region, their services are informed by the lived experiences of women in their community. This includes social and family events, referral to health services, meal sharing, and information about disaster preparedness and recovery. They have worked with around 6,000 disaster affected community members across Australia to nurture improved mental health, reduce isolation, increase morale and positive networks.
