Bureau of Meteorology

The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) is Australia’s national weather service. They issue two types of flood advice. A Flood Watch provides early advice about 1-4 days before expected impact, for broad areas to think and prepare for floods. A Flood Warning occurs when flooding is expected and details flood severity for targeted areas to take action. If a Flood Watch is issued, watch for updates or Flood Warnings and follow the advice of local emergency services.
